We run a medium-sized paint and coating manufacturing facility in Sharjah and I've been pushing for us to move away from the 200L steel drums we've been using for years. The drums are heavy, awkward to handle, and we're constantly dealing with rust issues because of the humidity and the solvents we work with. Plus the amount of waste from disposing of these drums is just staggering and we're trying to be more environmentally conscious these days. I've been looking into larger capacity containers and the idea of 1000L totes is really appealing in terms of efficiency and reducing our packaging waste. I came across the Best IBC Container manufacturer in UAE and their products look really well-made with good chemical resistance and the cage design seems robust for stacking. The thing that's holding me back is whether our filling equipment can be adapted to handle these larger containers and how we'd manage the extra weight on our floor when they're full. I'm also curious about cleaning between different color batches because we switch colors pretty frequently and cross-contamination is a nightmare. Has anyone in a similar industry made this transition and found it worthwhile? I'd really appreciate some honest feedback before I try to convince the rest of the management team to approve this change.
